Lauren and Dave
I love the soft glamorous touches in today’s wedding of Lauren and Dave – a sparkly dress, a stormy sky. Beautiful moments captured! I think we can get so swept up in the angst of rain on the wedding day, but today’s celebration shows just how spectacular a rainy day can be!
Lauren and Dave married at The Tumbling Waters Retreat. Lauren says “Dave and I stumbled upon The Tumbling Waters Retreat one weekend when we were heading to the South Coast for a romantic weekend away. Hidden away in the Stanwell National Park, on a cliff top perching over the edge of a natural mineral waterfall, you’ll find the Tumbling Waters Retreat. A romantic hide away boasting majestic views down to the beach and out to sea, with beautifully manicured gardens surround. A modern building made of sandstone and glass, housing equally modern and tasteful furnishings. Bride, groom and guests can all be accommodated on site for the day and night of festivities, making this little secret haven not only a beautiful and romantic place for a unique wedding location but also very convenient. And did I mention the food? The on site chef is top notch – I think he/she is ex-Sydney al a carte restaurant – and they will cater your event with a large array of different meals to choose from so you can mix and match what works for your day.”

Lauren wore a gown from Maggie Sotterro. She wore Alan Pinkus shoes. Lauren’s bridesmaids wore gowns from Myer . The girls carried creamy white bouquets from Flowers Of Helensburgh. Of her dress, Lauren says “I looooove my dress, I can’t keep it in a box for the next 50 years, but I don’t know what else to do with it now, that dress is meant to be worn!”
Milk & Honey Photography used two photographers. Lauren says “They were wonderful, there were 2 photographers, one with a b&w camera and one with colour. You didn’t even notice they were there most of the time! When they did want us to stage some great photos they’re directions were clear, and never once did we feel uncomfortable. The outcome was fantastic, we have the most beautiful photos that will help us remember equally how beautiful the day was, for a lifetime.”
Due to threatening rain clouds, the ceremony was taken inside – leading to a cosy and intimate ceremony! Celebrant Faye Redgrave performed the ceremony with vows written by Lauren and Dave.
Check back this afternoon for the gorgeous stormy sky wedding photos of Lauren & Dave.
