Von and Conrad – The Celebration

As much as I love colour, I am a sucker for the simplicity of an all white colour scheme at a wedding. To me, it is the epitome of graceful elegance. I love how Von and Conrad pulled their wedding together in such a way that is completely true to their vision for their day – relaxed, informal and elegant. Though I love the touch of glam that ‘snuck’ in just to put the cherry on top of this beautiful celebration.

Von carried a bouquet of roses designed by Urban Flowers Of Perth. Conrad wore a three piece grey suit from Satch.

Von and Conrad made their own stationery (including invitations and menus) with paper from Kikki K. Von says of the venue Mosman’s Restaurant “We had canapés in the garden for an hour and then dinner in the restaurant. The events organiser was fantastic, carrying out all our wishes with no fuss. The food was incredible and the wait staff were attentive and friendly.”

Wow Creations created a white chocolate, two tier wedding cake.

Von switched her veil for a shorter net creation at the reception. She says on of her favourite moments was the input of family and friends into the wedding day “I loved the effort that our friends and family put into helping us – our two flower girls, our friends who did the readings in the ceremony, my close friends who spent hours and weekends helping me find my dress, the friend who spent all day running around organising a guitar/speakers/microphones when our musician’s guitar was sent to Sydney instead of Perth, my sister who was amazingly attentive, my mother who couldn’t stop smiling… and my new family who were just plain wonderful to be around!”

Von says “I think definitely the most special thing was having all of the people we love and find inspirational in one room celebrating with us. We felt so honoured that our friends and family had traveled from all over the world to share this special day with us.”

Von ends her wedding day story with a beautiful moment “The last thing that I’ll recount although it’s always the first thing that I remember – my husband’s face when I met him at the top of the aisle… such a wonderful combination of love, joy and elation. And having looked at the photos I know that he saw the same expression on my face.”
