Chenin and Nick
Oh I do like to be beside the seaside! The fantastically talented Nancy Liu Chin sent over this wedding she styled, of Chenin and Nick. I knew the fresh nautical feel was perfect to share with you. It’s not often we get to see a water wedding not involving sand and I love the soft hues and sunshine in today’s celebration!
Our newlyweds met through a mutual friend after a party following the Bay To Breakers race in San Francisco in 2007. Chenin and Nick knew they wanted to be married outside and near the water so wanted “outdoor elegance” instead of a typical beach theme.
Photographs today are by Lilia Photography and the wedding planner was Nicole Ancelovici-Lenihan of NAL Events.
Nancy Liu Chin created all the floral arrangements using blue and white hues with seashells. The groomsmen wore suits from J Crew.
Chenin wore a gown from Cymbeline, NYC while her bridesmaids wore strapless blue gowns from Jenny Yoo. Hair and makeup was styled by Erin Gallagher.
Chenin and Nick held their ceremony at the Belvedere-Tiburon Landmark Art & Garden Centre. Chenin says ” We wanted to be married outside, near the water in Marin. Tiburon was the perfect location! The ceremony was held in a beautiful 1 acre garden on the property of a historic cabin across from the Richardson Bay, with views of Sausalito. “
Chenin walked down the aisle with her mother to Pachabel’s Canon. Chenin says ” Nick is Jewish and I was raised Presbyterian. We decided to be married by a rabbi, Charles Familant. He did an incredible job of incorporating traditions from both of our religions. He explained the significance of every step of the ceremony, allowing for every guest to feel comfortable and included.”
Just married! Check back soon for Chenin and Nick’s gorgeous reception!
