Hyde Park and Observatory Hill were chosen as locations for the post wedding shots.
Lauren and Nathan made sure to have plenty of fun with their bridal party during the post ceremony photos- there were plenty of blue steel moments and lots of laughter!
Lauren says “In Hyde Park, Sydney we took off our shoes and jumped in the fountain which made for amazing photos, revitalised our feet and was SO MUCH FUN! When we took off our shoes, that was when my sister and bridesmaid Christen realised that she had broken her little toe! There is a picture of me pointing and laughing at her foot in the fountain. What are big sisters for? The pictures of Nathan and I dipping and dancing in the fountain are some of our favourites”.
Nathan was a gentlemen even wiping Lauren’s wet feet down with his own socks.
Lauren and Nathan held their reception at L’Aqua at Cockle Bay Wharf. The bridal table was decorated with a black table runner sewed by Lauren, who also painted their initials in black. The “Top Gun” theme of the day continued with Lauren & Nathan entering the reception to “Danger Zone” and Nathan surprising Lauren with a serenade of “You’ve Lost That Loving Feeling” during his speech.
Lauren created menus, thank you’s and table names and placed them all in black photo frames.
The table centrepieces were stems of white orchids (bought by Lauren and Nathan from the Sydney flower markets) submerged in tall cylindrical vases.
Lauren and Nathan chose a single tier caramel mud cake from Casa Del as their wedding cake. Decorated with white icing and black polka dots, it was topped with a small black dalmatian in honour of their much loved dog Lance, so he could be there on their wedding day. Lauren printed cake bags with a picture of a dalmatian and their names and wedding date.
Lauren says “Our official first dance was to ‘Grow Old With You’ by Adam Sandler, from the movie ‘The Wedding Singer’. It was so us.
Our unofficial first dance was to The Beach Boys ‘God Only Knows’. My MOH surprised us with a special message from Richard Mercer from ‘Love Song Dedications’ 106.5. The DJ played it over the speakers and Nathan and I couldn’t help dancing to the song – even though we hadn’t even had our first dance yet!”
Thank you for sharing your wedding day with us today Lauren and Nathan! Congratulations on your marriage! Thank you to Nerida McMurray Photography for sending over today’s photos!

Such an adorable and fun wedding. Her wedding dress really suits her and I like the elegant black and white colours.
These are amazing wedding photos! The bride looks beautiful and the groom is really handsome. It looked like a really lovely celebration.
Ooh so happy to see her totally rocking her dress.. mine is a similar style neckline and I hope to look this styling on my wedding day
This wedding was the best wedding I have ever been to! Granted, I am completely biased given that I am lauren’s friend and MOH. But because the wedding was so classically ‘Lauren and Nathan’, it made the whole event unique, fun and really special.
the picture is so beautiful, but don’t drink too much.
Lovely, such a pretty bride.
Absolutely stunning. Congrats to the couple!
ohhh, i love that parkbench shot!
