Dana and Raul held their ceremony and reception at the spectacular Saks Restaurant in Mexico City. See part one here.
In keeping with their classic meets modern meets rock and roll theme and passion for music, the bride walked down the aisle to The Beatles cover of “I Want To Hold Your Hand” by T.V Carpio. The ceremony soundtrack included “Wonderwall” by Oasis, “Enterlude” by The Killers and “Boy’s Don’t Cry” by The Cure.
Dana carried a bouquet of white calla lilies.
Dana’s childhood friend performed the ceremony. As she is bilingual, the ceremony was performed in both English and Spanish.
Dana wore a vintage style bracelet from Kenneth Jay Lane from The Ruby Door.
Dana’s favourite reception moments include her mother (who is a barbershop singer) singing “Sunrise Sunset” acapella and her father giving his speech in both English and Spanish.
Dana and Raul danced their first dance to a Cuban salsa remix of “Clocks” by Coldplay. They took extensive cha cha lessons to wow their guests and it worked!
At the end of the night, Dana and Raul surprised their guests with a mariachi band.
Congratulations Dana and Raul on your beautiful wedding day! May your marriage be as full of colour as your wedding day!
