Welcome back to the celebration of Michelle and Jarvis’ wedding!
The heat caused Michelle and Jarvis to abandon their location photo plans pretty quickly and head straight to their reception at one of Melbourne’s most famous spots – where the Melbourne Cup is run every year- Flemington Racecourse! Luckily for Michelle, her photographers did a second shoot just with Michelle when the weather was cooler.
Jarvis’ mother sourced horseshoes which Michelle used as escort (or seating) cards. She spray painted them silver, added lace and set them up on a table covered in mock grass to pay homage to the racecourse reception venue. Each table was named after a Melbourne Cup winner!
At each place setting was a place card shaped like a chair filled with rock candy from Kuranda Candy Kitchen which said Michelle ? Jarvis
The reception had a view over the Flemington race course
Michelle’s candy bar setup was a hit amongst guests. The couple hired glassware and bought lollies through Event Perfection. The lollies were gone before the main course was served!
Michelle ordered the guest book from The Guestbook Store and had each guest take a Polaroid photo of themselves. Each page had fun questions for the guests to fill out and made for a highly entertaining read!
The couple performed a funky first dance to Justin Timberlake’s “My Love”
Thank you for sharing your wedding day with Polka Dot Bride Michelle! I wish you and Jarvis a love filled life together!

Gorgeous wedding and I love the bride’s dress, veil and hair! 🙂
I followed the timeline of Michelle’s wedding on the Vogue Forums and to see her beautiful day come to fruition is just delightful. I wish her and Jarvis all the very best for a long, happy and healthy marriage!
Very late to this wedding entry, but just wanted to say that Michelle made a beautiful bride. Loved the gown, the flowers, the lolly bar and of course the first dance!
