Twinkle, twinkle little star. I think stars have a certain magic about them. We always place a star on top of our Christmas tree and hanging stars on the branches makes everything seem a little more special. A symbol of hope when you see one shooting by, a star to make a wish on.
Stars
A romantic and beautiful theme (think those dark still nights when the sky is covered in stars) it will be a touch a little out of the ordinary.
Wooden star from Villa and Hut
Buy the stars that appeal to you at the post Christmas sales and stock pile them for your wedding day. Decide on silver or gold or white (or a combination) to mix and match with lots of clear or white glass, white linen, navy or black linen or tulle.
Try gossamer light fabrics draped over star or bud lights in darker corners of the room, (ask about heat or fire resistance) – or if outside, a laser cut star screen lit from behind to bring out the star shapes. You may even find a fabric you like imprinted with stars to add to your galaxy!
Ceramic stars from Paper Boat Press
Stars on picks can be incorporated into your bouquet and your flower girl could carry a star wand or wear a star headband. Garlands of stars could be draped around vases, candles, walls and doorways, and glittery star cutouts of different sizes could be hung at various levels from a navy tulle draped ceiling.
Even the cake could be star shaped, or could incorporate stars in the fondant or scattered around on the cake table. Biscuits could be star shaped as could jellies or canapés just for fun.
