wishpot

Christine at Wishpot emailed me a few weeks ago inviting me to be a wedding expert (who, me?) on the brand new shopping site.

Of course I couldn’t turn down a chance to shop guilt free so I happily set about creating my Wishpot account. You can see my (ever growing) lists here

Wishpot allows you to select items from any online store by using a little toolbar gadget. (One click and a pop-up box lets you add in details and then automatically adds the item to your list). You can share the list with friends and family who can reserve the items, compare prices and then ship them to your address.  No more department store shopping! You can select items from any online store. Which means there’s as much scope for registering for that couple’s massage as there is with the white Kitchen Aid mixer.

Wishpot isn’t limited to functioning as a wedding register either, with the various list formats (shopping lists to wish lists) and information fields (reviews and tags). You can add favourite finds from blogs, a list for your next shopping trip, great finds for the hard to buy for men in your life and Christmas ideas. It can become your central shopping hub without too much hassle. (You can even add friends to keep an eye on what they’re wanting).

By checking out the lists from the other wedding experts here you can gather great ideas for future purposes or for your own registry. Kathryn from Snippet & Ink found a gorgeous yellow espresso machine by Ascaso and Never The Bride found these gorgeous handmade brooms! (Then there’s my little lists here), Or browse the ‘Most Popular’ list – at the moment, it appears everyone wants a Nintendo Wii!

Wishpot is introducing international currency soon which will be great for Aussies!
