Tiana & Glenn

Romance in the country was on the cards for Tiana and Glenn’s classic wedding. Both the ceremony and reception were held outdoors, under an arbour of flowers and twinkling festoon lights, and we can’t get enough of every gorgeous detail! Sandie Bertrand Photography captured the day.

The bride and groom met while 16 and 17, respectively, through a friend, and 11 years later sealed the deal! Glenn locked it down by proposing on Christmas morning, making it a hard Christmas to top the following year!

Choosing white and gold as their main colours, and wanting an elegant but fun day, the bride found her dream gown at Zanzis Couture. Wearing a full length, hand beaded gown with an overlay tulle skirt, Tiana says, ”When you know, you know, so stick to your decision.” The groom wore a black suit and bow tie, while the bridesmaids and flower girl wore mushroom blush gowns.

Mandoon Estate provided the perfect landscape for an outdoor spring wedding. With the homestead behind and lush gardens before, Tiana and Glenn married under an arbour of flowers. They chose the gorgeous location for the, ”Beautiful soundings! We wanted our reception all outside and sit down.”

Leaving the aisle under a cloud of petals, the bride kept the wedding flowers classic and elegant. She shares, ”I wanted white, green and gold throughout with some proteas and left it to Lime Flowers. They turned out incredible!” Tiana also incorporated some very special and sentimental touches to the day, telling, ”My grandmothers scarf she had at her wedding, we wound around my bouquet, and I used my mother’s perfume as my mum had passed away.”

The newlyweds shot their portraits around the estate on a classic spring day. They made use of the beautiful vineyard and the bush surroundings, as well as enjoying a sunlit champagne celebration. The bride shares, ”Sandie Bertrand Photography made us feel comfortable and at ease as it can feel so unnatural constantly having your photo taken.”

While the bridal party enjoyed the breathtaking location, guests enjoyed the beginning of the bride and grooms chosen outdoor reception at Mandoon Estate. With festoon lights and long tables laden with white blooms, it was a feast for the eyes as well as the stomach! A marble cake by Bridal Select Cakes with gold foil touches was decorated with romantic, white blooms.

The dance floor was a particular favourite of Tiana and Glenn, as they had their first dance to Ed Sheeran and Beyoncé’s ‘Perfect’. The bride remembers, ”Celebrating our love with all our close family and friends being on the dance floor – you could feel the love.”

Thank you to our gorgeous bride and groom for sharing your stunning wedding day with us, and congratulations! Thank you also to Sandie Bertrand Photography for your breathtaking images!
