With The Suit Issue in its very final hours, we wanted to pack in one last salute to the humble attire. And this one? Oh, it’s been worth waiting for!

We all know and love P Johnson Tailors for their suit for the groom and groomsmen, but today? We’re sharing their debut into suits the bride and her bridesmaids can wear, with the launch of PJ Femme.

It’s a natural next step for a brand who we have always loved for their high end, tailored style. “My goal has always been to help people dress better” explains designer Patrick. “I want to be able to help women build their wardrobes in the same way we do for men. It’s about generally improving the way we dress, the way clothing can empower both men and women, and the way we live.”

Launching with a curated range of double and single-breasted blazers alongside two trousers (cigarette and a loose, generous style) the collection is not just about female-friendly shapes, it’s also about choosing fabrics that are specific for the female form. Glazed linens, brushed Italian cotton, corduroys and cashmere flannels available alongside bespoke and luxe detailing like silk linens and personalised monogramming.

The detail is exquisite in these pieces, alongside P Johnson’s waste-free method, the team have worked to create a collection that goes against fast fashion. It’s about customisation, it’s about stylish, elegant pieces that last a lifetime and it’s about tailoring that just works – and not just at the office desk.

PJ Femme is available with a made to measure service a P Johnson’s Paddington Showroom and is visiting other cities soon for trunk shows. Visit the website for details.
