If there is anything that makes for a splendid Summer day, it’s ice cream and the sea, and for Linda and Rhett? It’s both of these, coupled with an amazing golden sunset, wonderful friends, beautiful blooms – oh and the best part? A beautiful love story just waiting to be told. For these two, who chose  Lauren Anne Photography to capture it all, the day was relaxed, it was easygoing and it was just about them. It’s a story we’re honoured to share with you today!

The groom was dressed by Joe Black.

The bride worked with Judy Copley Couture to create her stunning strapless lace wedding gown, sharing “I went with a custom design from Judy Copley Couture, purely because I wanted something fairly simple with dramatic lacing and couldn’t find anything similar on the market at the time.”

Peonies Floral Designer created beautiful floral arrangements for Rhett and Linda, Linda telling “We didn’t really specify any flowers outside of a basic colour palette of creams, nude pinks and pops of marsala. The team did wonderfully.”

Linda walked down the aisle on the arms of her parents.

Linda and Rhett chose Fort Scratchley for their ceremony, the spot overlooking the blue sea.

Of their ceremony, Linda remembers “Our ceremony was short, sharp and sweet. My husband and I are not the most sentimental couple, and the closest we came to a reading were our personal vows.”

What better place to stop on a summer wedding day than the ice-cream parlour?

Of their photographer, the bride tells “Lauren from Lauren Anne Photography was and is phenomenal. She is professional, knows what she is doing, and an absolute investment.

My husband and I were absolutely thrilled with the memories she gifted us of our wedding day. And every moment was captured so beautifully, it didn’t look like she missed a single beat.”

Not only did Peonies Floral Designer style the beautiful floral arrangements, but they also executed the details of the day. The bride told “They were little Ninja wedding planners. They were a big investment, but they were worth every cent. Not once did my husband or I (or my family) have to worry about set up, decor or pack/clean up.”

The newlyweds. and their guests celebrated the nuptials at Merewether Surfhouse. “We chose Merewether Surfhouse as it was located in a beautiful, central location by the water” tells Linda.

Linda loved planning the day. “My favourite part was the planning activity in general. I’m an organiser and have a slight obsession with Excel.”

Linda and Rhett chose the team at Design Patrol to capture all the fun of their day on film!

A big thank you to you both Linda and Rhett for taking the time to share their day with us. Thank you also to Lauren Anne Photography for today’s beautiful images!
