For me, Summer is all about brights, it’s about oodles of hot pink, zesty orange and bright yellow. Of tall icy cocktails, or bared skin, epic sunsets and dappled shade under beautiful trees of green.

So if there was ever an editorial that was quintessentially summer, it’s today’s shoot of bright & tropical wedding inspiration.

Set at the beautiful tropical Fins Plantation House, our team, headed up by planner and stylist Event Stylist & Co with Figtree Pictures behind the camera took to the rolling green lawns to set up a mock ceremony under the gorgeous trees. Our brides, (real-life couple Sophie and Cara) dressed in summery gowns from  Babushka Ballerina and styled by Tina Kristen Weddings, as they wed under the venue’s stunning trees with celebrant Leisa Ottley, a wooden arch decorated with bright tropical blooms (which were the shining star throughout the shoot) by Floral & Mineral
.

The bright colour continued to the reception, where the blooms adorned wooden tables from  The One Day House that lay the foundation for beautiful tableware Table For Louis. Silver edged plates taking take their place alongside cut crystal goblets and beautiful stationery pieces from KB Lettering and White Letter Stationery. The table sat beneath mismatched crystal chandeliers, sparkling from  Out Of The Darkness Event Lighting.

The fun continued to the bar, adorned with a bright and bold balloon garland by  Bang Bang Balloons and a lounge area with custom neon light from Neon Republic. A beautiful pale pink cake, topped with bright tropical blooms by  The Cake That Ate Pariis and fun cars from Forever Kombi finishing the look.

The team tells “We took the inspiration from the colourful neighbours that are Topical Fruit World. The venue is surrounded by so much lush greenery that it really lent itself to marry up with pops of colour + tropical fruit. We wanted to create a luxe tropical vibe, We loved the bright colours from all the exotic fruit, so we really wanted to incorporate some of that produce into the shoot.”
