Abagaile & Alex

We adore a beach wedding, and love a glam boho beach wedding even more! With a stunning waterside location, a flower arbour laden with blooms and a ceremony surrounded with family and love, every photo is a treat! BXCSMXTH captured the day.

The bride and groom met each other through work, with Abagaile telling, ”It was love at first sight!” Listing her favourite moments of their day, she shares that, ”Having our children present and ending up married to the most amazing man I’ve ever known” were just some of the highlights.

In choosing her wedding dress, Abagaile needed functionality as well as a beautiful gown. She says, ”I chose my dress for the reason that it felt like me. I didn’t feel like someone else on our wedding day, I felt true to myself. I was comfortable and confident and I knew that’s the way my husband would want to see me also. Plus, the dress was breastfeeding friendly as my daughter is still nursing and was throughout the big day.” The groom wore classic black and white, with converse shoes and a bow tie.

The couple chose the bay in front of reception venue Green Zebra for their ceremony. Abagaile shares, ”It was perfect, simple and convenient. We have three children and did not want to have two locations or want to travel between so the way we did it was perfect for us.” The bride walked down the aisle to ‘Follow You’ by Millie Tizzard.

With family being beautifully celebrated on the day, the bride shares, ”Our ceremony was very emotional. Having our children a part of it as flower girls and the ring boy was such a personal touch for us. We had a sand ceremony and each of the children had coloured sand and my husband and I also – we all poured our sand into a glass bottle symbolic of all on this day coming together as one family. Our two oldest children are not my biological children however are my earth babies. This was a huge day for us as a family to all share the same last name and feel like a complete family. It was a beautiful ceremony filled with love and family.” Another favourite moment of the day for the bride and groom was their vows, with Abagaile sharing that they were, ”So real and raw and heart felt.”

Flowers played a large part of the day, with Woods and Bloom creating gorgeous arrangements. The bride shares, ”I handed all control over to our florist and they did not disappoint. We had many meetings going over my dreams and inspiration and spoke of what I wanted for our wedding day and they took it from there. We were all blown away. Beyond our wildest dreams!” Abagaile’s favourite photo of the day was personal, with her sharing, ”It was breastfeeding our daughter on the beach while everyone was waiting for the bride. I always knew going into the day having a small child I was going to still need to be a mother first and a bride second. I wouldn’t have had it any other way.”

Being announced as husband and wife is spectacularly special, and our bride and groom treasure that moment. Abagaile tells, ”After all the planning and budgeting and everything that goes into a wedding, standing up there in front of everyone who loves us, hand in hand with my husband. No greater feeling!” Of their photographer, BXCSMXTH, the bride was thrilled. She shares, ”She captures every moment. Something so simple as helping your daughter with her hair, glancing over at your father, kissing your husband, laughing with your bridesmaids. It’s all there, and you never even know the photos are been taken. Candid, real, raw and so special. Her work speaks for itself.” The newlyweds had their first dance to ‘We Found Each Other In The Dark’ by City & Colour.

Thank you to our gorgeous bride and groom for sharing your beautiful wedding day, and congratulations! A special thank you also to BXCSMXTH for sharing your photos.
