Jacinta & Digby

I can’t get over the beauty of Jacinta and Digby’s gorgeous Albany farm wedding. The sweet pastel florals, the gorgeous little tents for guests to camp overnight, the paddock ceremony – these little touches are the stuff country wedding dreams are made of and it was all captured beautifully by We Are All Stardust.

Growing up in neighbouring towns, the couple met at a local country pub. “It was Christmas Day 2014 in Peaceful Bay, a small coastal town down South of WA where we were spending Christmas with my family. Digby suggested we take their dog for a walk along the beach where he surprised me with a traditional proposal down on one knee!” tells the bride.

Jacinta and Digby worked with White Events who planned the day, right down to arranging bell tents from  Soul Camping for guest accommodation noting “We believe that paying for on the day styling is worth every penny as it takes the stress away from family and friends and everybody can get down to having a good time! Working with Lara from White Events was one of the highlights for me.”

Jacinta chose her good friend Sarah Sercombe, to sing as she walked down the aisle with her father.

Of the ceremony, which was officiated by Maggie Anderson, Lara of White Events tells “The couple were married in the middle of a paddock to reflect their love for the country lifestyle. An arbour was filled with the most amazing floral arrangement and wine barrels were filled with floral arrangements by Lush Floral Designs.”

Jacinta tells “We wanted the ceremony to be personal so we involved as many of our friends and family as possible. A friend sang while my mum carried our 16-month-old baby girl down the aisle.  Readings were performed by Digby’s sister. We wrote our own vows, my brother was the ring bearer and both our Grandmothers witnessed the marriage.”

The bride wore a stunning Pronovias gown from Samantha Wynne telling “I wanted a dress that I felt comfortable in so that I could party the night away! I fell in love with a Pronovias dress (Plisa) from Samantha Wynne in Perth. The gorgeous gown ticked all the boxes; a low back, a bit of lace, simple yet stunning.”

LUSH Floral Designs  created the pink and blue toned floral arrangements for the day, the bride remarking “From the arbour to the table settings and the amazing floral installation in the marquee, the flowers were definitely the glue that brought everything together and made it all look so amazing.”

Of their photographer, Jacinta notes “We were thrilled with all of the images from We Are All Stardust, but a personal favourite of Jacinta’s was the one where Digby is kissing my forehead and the wind is blowing my veil. ”

A white marquee hosted a decadent sit down celebration, Lara of White Events noting “Jacinta’s vision for a dessert wall came to life with a joint family effort, the personalised bar backdrop was constructed by the bride and her brothers, the gift box was an upcycled antique and the lighting installations in the marquee, were constructed by the couple and finished with florals from Lush Floral Design.”

The bar backdrop read “Life Is An Adventure” and was printed with a world map to reflect the couple’s love of travel. Jacinta’s bridesmaid traced the outline, while White Events carefully threaded the colours by hand.

Their stunning wedding video was beautifully filmed by Marwick Brothers.
