It was across a crowded bar that Andrew first spotted his future wife, a familiarity setting in when he realised he had met her many years before. Bianca. apparently also recognising Andrew, finding him on Facebook that very night. Their wedding, at the beautiful Coombe Melba Estate, was filled with so much joy and laughter than even their photographer, Motta Weddings had to ask the newlyweds to stop for a moment to get some different shots. I am so excited to share this one with you today.

The story continues a little like this. “Andrew thought Bianca adding him as a Facebook friend was her making the first move, so he sent her a reply saying “thanks for the add”, to get the conversation flowing. After a month with no response from Bianca on Facebook, Andrew made a second attempt by adding Bianca to a Facebook group named ‘lost my phone, give me your numbers’. Bianca was outraged that she was added to the group when they had never exchanged numbers or spoken properly, so she talked to him. It worked.

They hit it off right away and organised their first date, but after a few weeks of dating, Bianca went overseas for 10 weeks.

Bianca arrived back from her trip and the pair couldn’t wait to catch up and pick up where they left off. They went on one or two dates, after which Bianca decided they should slow down because she thought it was moving too quickly and that Andrew was “too nice”.

After weeks of no contact, Andrew and Bianca ran into each other in the crowd at the Penny Black. Later that year, Andrew and Bianca officially became a couple. Once official, their relationship moved rapidly and they quickly became a huge part of each other’s lives and families.”

The bride chose a strapless gown with a sweetheart neckline from Mariana Hardwick, remarking “Dress shopping was fun but at times overwhelming. I found most wedding dresses to be unflattering (for me anyway). I tried on at least 10 dresses before finding this beautiful gown. When I put my dress on, I knew it was the one right away. It made me feel beautiful.”

Andrew and Bianca chose the beautiful Coombe Melba Estate for their wedding, noting “Coombe Melba Estate is a magical place. The food and wine are amazing, the gardens are beautiful and the restaurant is romantic. But these reasons aren’t why we selected Coombe. Being at Coombe makes you feel something special. When you’re there, you don’t want to leave.”

Of her walk down the aisle, Bianca remembers “The bridesmaids walked down the aisle to the Higher Love cover by James Morrison. We absolutely love this song, it gives you all the feels. My dad walked me down the aisle, which I was very grateful for. My dad was talking absolutely random words in the car on the way to the ceremony, to try and distract me as I was so nervous. I was about to vomit I was so nervous (not about getting married, about walking down the aisle in front of everyone).

“Even though it was the scariest part of the day, getting to the end of the aisle and hugging Andrew was just bliss. I was so nervous walking down the aisle, and having him there put me at ease. I also realised right there and then how big of a moment this was, and how excited I was to spend the rest of my life with Andrew.”

Mark Pobjoy officiated the vows, the bride noting “We wanted our ceremony to be romantic and personal, with minimal proceedings. We wanted to involve our families as much as possible. We asked for our parent’s blessing during the ceremony, as we wanted to include them in the proceedings. They are very special to us.”

“We will always be grateful for our family and friends being there. A lot of them came from afar to be there for us (from interstate and overseas).”

“We remember the photographer and videographer telling us to stop laughing so much because they already had so many shots of us laughing. We couldn’t take the smiles off our faces.

Alex was fantastic. We felt so awkward going into our photography time, but he was incredibly laid back and made us feel at ease.”

Sugar Bee Flowers styled the lush white and green arrangements of the day, Bianca remembering “I chose white roses, peonies, and hydrangeas, with lots of greenery. I wanted a huge full beautiful bunch of flowers, with a romantic wilderness vibe.”

“We put an Ipad on our presents table and asked our guests to film a wedding message. This was the best part of our wedding-hangover, listening to our friends and family pour out their hearts in the early hours of the morning. Very funny footage!”

The couple chose The White Tree to provide the entertainment for the night “There was so much dancing at our wedding. We loved dancing with our family and friends and having fun with everyone.

Bianca remarks “We wanted to make sure our guests had an incredible day. Everything we did in the lead up was to make sure that our family and friends had the best time. We cut down the number of people on tables to make sure people could talk to each other. We chose the package where all guests could choose their food on the day.

The wedding menu testing at Coombe Melba Estate was definitely our favourite part of the wedding planning. We shared nine courses and tried all of the wines. It was hard to make the final decision about our wedding menu, all of the food at Coombe is delicious.”

Of the first dance, the bride remembers “We chose “Say you won’t let go” by James Arthur. The lyrics fit our relationship to a tee, and they explain exactly what we want for our marriage moving forward.”

Congratulations on your marriage Andrew and Bianca! Thank you for sharing your beautiful day with us! Thank you also to Motta Weddings for sharing today’s stunning celebration with us!
