Arie & Geoff

Such an incredible venue like the Sydney Opera House demands an equally incredible wedding- which Arie and Geoff managed to pull off! With photographer Milton Gan capturing the day’s photographs and planner Jennifer Michael making sure everything ran smoothly, the couple married under the sails of the Opera House with the Sydney Harbour Bridge as their backdrop.

Arie tells me their story is not inspirational, the newlyweds having met at work. I beg to differ- any love story inspires me. It is love after all.

Arie and Geoff chose a formal dress code, with Geoff wearing a suit from Ermenegildo Zegna and his groomsmen having suits made by Montagio Custom Tailoring.

Arie wore a beautiful gown with three quarter lace sleeves by Caritas Yu Bridal Couture.

The ceremony and reception were both at the Opera Point Marquee. Arie noting, “The view obviously speaks for itself, the food was delicious and the staff were professional and friendly.” The bride traveled in a Rolls Royce Phantom from Prestige Limousines.

Arie chose Pachelbel’s Canon In D for her walk down the aisle, played on the strings by Jasmine Strings.

Of their photographers, Arie notes, “Milton and Amy were a lot of fun. We got to know them during our pre-wedding shots which made us feel at ease with them on the day. They did an amazing job with the photos on the day.”

Paper Kiss created the wedding stationery.

“Not being the slightest bit creative, we didn’t DIY any details, save for the Cognac and cigars which we bought for the outdoor lounge area after most formalities were over.” The Sweet Department crafted a white wedding cake complete with sugar flowers.

Angelic Events styled the ceremony and reception, along with the floral arrangements for the day. Arie remembering, “Most of the special details was in the styling for the day. I had a fair idea of what I wanted, but Jess from Angelic Events did a fantastic job bring the vision to reality. The full silk roof lining in the marquee and the chandeliers were two of our favourite parts of the styling.”

Guests were gifted MakMak Macarons as their wedding favors.

The White Tree kicked into gear and kept guests on the dance floor.

Of their first dance, Arie recalls, “We were both dreading the first dance a bit. Our friend Ali help us with a few moves in the weeks leading up to the wedding so we were able to get through it without any embarrassment. The band payed a cool version of “I’ve got you under my skin” by Frank Sinatra.”

Congratulations Arie and Geoff! Thank you for sharing your day with us! Thank you also to Milton Gan for sharing today’s wedding with us!
