If there is one thing about New Zealand it’s that it has the most spectacular scenery. Kristie and Oliver certainly made the best of it in their gorgeous photos!

With place cards from Poppies For Grace, Kristie made a lot of beautiful details for the reception herself. “I hand made little material gift bags for each guest, each with it’s own bird stamp (Zetta Florence) that was a running theme throughout our wedding. We hand wrote on bird tags a message for each guest and inside each bag, we placed 5 almonds each representing – health, wealth, happiness, fertility and longevity, a chocolate heart, and for the ladies I bought worry dolls from the Oxfam Shop – a gift that gave twice and the guys got wedding coasters with a hand painted image of a New Zealand native Pohutukawa tree.

Oliver spent hours working on a quiz that was placed on each table at the beginning of the night and got proceedings well under way. 10 quirky general knowledge questions and 10 questions on how well they knew us! Fabulous idea that was stacks of fun!

I absolutely loved getting creative for our wedding and if you’re that way inclined, don’t be shy to express yourself, it’s wonderfully rewarding and our guests really appreciated the ‘extra’ effort we went to.”

For the reception, Kristie donned a faux fur wrap and took to the dance floor with her new husband to dance to “Queen Of The Slipstream” by Van Morrison. Kristie says “It was a song that took us way back to a trip we did around Wales together in the early days…”
